Description

North Star is a traditional Abaco beach house constructed by renowned local builder Floyd Albury. The home’s exposed beams, open floor plan, and panoramic views evoke the ambiance of an expertly crafted wooden ship, for which the Albury family is famed.

This one-of-a-kind home sits on a ½-acre lot and is graced with over 100 feet of shoreline, stunning tropical landscaping, and ample opportunities for further construction.

The exterior of the home is natural western red cedar , while the interior walls and ceilings are pickled spruce, and floors are tiled with terra cotta.

Two identical bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms are located in opposite wings of the 1,100-sq. ft. home. The southern bedroom has its own entrance and is separated from the main house by a breezeway offering enhanced privacy.

The living room, kitchen, and bedrooms open directly onto a 2,500 sq. ft. wrap-around deck with pergola. The expansive deck affords a variety of comfortable outdoor dining and lounging areas including a patio with built-in seating and a fire pit – a perfect setting for enjoying the Bahamian outdoors at virtually any time and season.

In case of electrical outages , a propane generator with automatic transfer switch powers the entire house.

Throughout the day numerous options for sun or shade are offered, with incredible water views from every location. The secluded North End Beach on the Atlantic side is less than 100 paces away and easily accessed via public right-of-way. Boat dockage (including overnight) is available at the North End “Gans” dock, reachable within 2-3 minutes via golf cart.
