Of a size which dwarfs most entire apartments, the master suite occupies one half of the top floor and was briefed to be a haven of relaxation and seclusion.. A private terrace floods this space with sunlight. Acres of dark wood wardrobes give way to a full dressing room with sweeps of drawer, shelf and hanging space. The high-tech gymnasium is surrounded by Iroko wood panelling and the obligatory floor-to-ceiling mirrors as well as flat screen televisions set on matt stainless steel poles.

Outside, the architect has paid homage to southern Spain’s aptness for outdoor living by creating extensive partially covered and open terraces, sweeping lawned areas, an over- sized infinity swimming pool flanked by wooden sundecks and densely planted flowerbeds. Views across La Zagaleta’s newly inaugurated second 18-hole golf course, Los Barrancos, complete this exquisite residence.
