Alaska’s Gold Creek Lodge is a world-class eco-adventure and fishing lodge on the banks of the world-famous Naknek River. Outside of King Salmon, Alaska, and home to Fat Bear Week conducted by the US National Park Service in Katmai National Park, the lodge operates seasonally from May 1 to October 1. The lodge is located within the Bristol Bay watershed at the entrance to Katmai National Park on the southwestern peninsula, approximately 280 miles from Anchorage. King Salmon is accessible by air only, ensuring a truly untamed remote wilderness experience.

The Naknek River and the surrounding area host prolific runs of all five species of salmon and is a designated trophy rainbow trout area. Rainbows on this river frequently get to 30” long and weigh upwards of 10 pounds. The Naknek River is a tidal river that brings in a fresh crop of salmon with each new tide, ensuring excellent fishing. According to Alaska Magazine, the Naknek River is the best rainbow trout fishing in Alaska. The strong salmon runs also bring with them incredible wildlife.
