A traditional bungalow reminiscent of Lyford Cay’s nascent days of the 1950’s, A Casa de Praia has been renovated with colour, art and design. Interiors by Portuguese designer Maria Raposo. The globally chic and comfortable interiors also reflect the owners’ cultural heritage and well-travelled lifestyles. Each of the six suites are unique and awash in its own colour scheme, many with a private terrace. An open plan living – dining – kitchen area serves as the heart of the villa. There is also a pool and jacuzzi, a thirteen metre boat dock, BBQ area and furnished outdoor terraces on the ground floor and second floor. The kitchen garden bears mangos, avocadoes, lemons, guava and passionfruit together with seasonal herbs. With six luxury suites, this villa is ideal for groups and families.
The open multifunctional Great Room – living, dining and kitchen - colourful and airy with high ceilings and natural light. Perfect for casual living and easy entertaining. The sliding glass doors lead to the furnished terrace and pool deck. The original bar is remodelled in Portuguese marble and framed in wood now includes a design element. The bar - practical, yet exudes warmth and texture in a natural palette – includes additional seating of four bar stools. The chef’s kitchen features top of the line, Sub-Zero Wolf, and Smeg appliances such as: Sub-Zero appliances, Refrigerator-Freezer, 2 under counter bar fridges, Ice machine, Wolf appliances, Warming drawer, Coffee machine, Microwave, Smeg appliances, Toaster, Kettle.
A Casa de Praia has six suites over two floors; the Owner’s Suite, the Cloisters Suite and the Azul Suite are located along one corridor; the Executive Suite on the northern side of the villa and the two Terrace Suites on the second floor. Each room is individually designed inspired by the rich floral colours of the Bahamas. All bathrooms are luxuriously designed with Portuguese marble basins and walk-in showers clad in Italian ceramics. The Owner’s Suite has a free standing bath.
