When you stand on the terrace outside the house’s lofty penthouse on the fourth floor, the city opens up beneath you as if you were looking at it from a flight. The entire city is literally lying in front of your feet in a free panorama which is visible at an angle of more than 180°. During sunset you can see the light sparkling from the various landmarks sticking up. Several of these landmarks are located just a few hundred meters below the house – such as Liseberg, Ullevi and Scandinavium. When darkness falls, the city lights begin to sparkle. The view feels like it’s been taken from a movie when the lights start seeping upwards towards Gothenburg’s surrounding heights. If you use the elevator in the building to descend, the view follows you through large glass sections. It almost feels as though the house is hovering high above the city.
The two spectacular houses of 425 square metres each which are now being built, are balancing on the plateau of the slightly hidden Prospect Hillgatan, which is located in the midst of a lush green slope. Behind the gardens of the new houses, wild greenery is growing on the eastern slope. The suburban area on Bögatan is located on the rear side of this slope, a couple of hundred meters away. This location is extraordinary and very unique, and the architecture complements this picture. The design is timelessly modern, inspired by functionalism and a noticeably international form. The entry level has a stone foundation, and above that the building elements look as though they climb upwards as slightly separated cubes and cuboids in a slight angle. The elements’ displaced location creates a coherent harmony with perfect proportions. The white facades have glass sections which almost completely cover the area which shows the wide panorama. The penthouse on the fourth storey has a stylish flat roof, is clad in wood and seems to merge with the greenery. The interior is naturally dominated by massive light sources, free open spaces and a sense of large room volumes. The architectural lines are timelessly simple but also dynamic due to the building’s slight angles and diagonal walls. The light flow and the generous visibility has been prioritised. The suggested options for the plan and design are very exclusive, but over and above this, the buyers will also be given great opportunity to choose the plan and layout, as well as the interior design, material and equipment, in consultation with the architect and the entrepreneur. There are stairs throughout the building, but there is also a swift elevator which runs throughout the building’s entire four storeys.
The disposition of the house is planned as follows. The entrance level will hold the garage, laundry room, lounges and a bathroom as well as an entrance hall, a space to hang jackets and then the elevator and the stairs. On the second floor the very large entertainment areas stretch into a partial open plan, which is framed by large glass sections with great views and then lead out onto an extensive roof terrace. On this floor, there are also plans for a library, a living room, a dining room and an exclusive kitchen. The third storey holds a lounge, four bedrooms and two bathrooms. This floor also has a balcony. The penthouse on the fourth floor is meant to be the exclusive master bedroom-suite with a bathroom, a dressing room and a terrace which has space for an outdoor hot tub. Furthermore, there is space and possibility to add a pool area and a separate house for guests. The house is situated in a high and secluded area which is located only a few minutes from the city and untouched nature.
