One of the most monumental buildings on the west coast is about to change hands: Havsbadet Lysekil. Built in 1869 as a gymnastics hall, the building was repurposed as a restaurant and under the name the Bathhouse Restaurant it became one of the most renowned eateries in Sweden during the late nineteenth century. Lysekil quickly became a popular seaside resort where high society from Stockholm and Gothenburg, not to mention King Oscar II, spent the summer months.
