Government utilities including electricity, water, and telephone are available on the island via submarine cable from mainland Eleuthera. The property is situated inside the protected Dunmore Harbour with limited exposure to severe weather systems when compared to other private islands throughout the Bahamas. Harbour Island and Eleuthera offer protection from oceanic swells, and Dunmore Harbour is relatively shallow, which limits wave height development in severe storms. The island is easily accessible: commercial and private planes fly into North Eleuthera airport from North American, and then it's a simple and short 600' ferry ride from the dock to Caribe Cay.
