Description

FANTASTIC SPACIOUS FAMILY HOUSE WITH INTERESTED LIGHTS LINES IN A MAGNIFICENT LOCATION.

The villa consists of a masonry 2-layer rectangular volume that has a “bite” out of it halfway through. The rectangular volume in the longitudinal direction of the plot is oriented east-west. The "bite" consisting of the entrance hall, the hall and a patio is fully shaped in wood and glass. The wood creates a warm appearance. The sepparation of the building bij the “bite” creates two wings: one at the front of the house and one at the back. Where the east wing, located on the Zeedistellaan, looks fairly closed, the wing on the west side is more transparent. This provides privacy on the street and, on the other hand, a maximum connection with the garden and patio. In this way, the front and back design is becoming more exuberant.
The wings are robustly shaped in black brickwork. This robust character is enhanced by applying aluminum curved frames. The “Hilversum format” provides a horizontal orientation.
A similar solution as at the patio has also been chosen on the ground floor at the front of the house, where the removed "hap" is fully materialized in wood.
The backside is full of glass, and appears to be detached from the villa by narrow glass strips on both sides

. Entrance: window-proof window with wooden support structure.
. Patio: Wood (Sapupira)

INTERIOR
The two wings have a functional layout. On the ground floor there is a luxurious living room and a working room on the front. At the back is a living room with different seating areas. On the first floor there are four (children) bedrooms on the front site with a private bathroom. In the rear wing is a master bedroom, walk-in closet, luxury bathroom and yoga room. In the space between the wings lies the entrance hall with a spacious hall, spiral staircase, overflow (which hangs as a bridge between the two blocks) and a patio. The pathio frontages (on the ground floor) are completely transparent so that there is maximum contact between the different parts of the building. The ground floor has a generous floor height. On the first floor this is lower. At the living room, this is locally double height, which gives a particularly spacious effect in combination with the freestanding rotable fireplace (Gyrofocus). From the master bedroom there is a number of small windows connected to both the vide (and so the living room) and outside (via the double high glazed window).

DESCRIPTION
LOCATION
If you like peace, space and privacy, this is your chance: in this green neighborhood of "De Waranda" in Oostvoorne, this unique villa is where you can enjoy your spacious garden. The center of Oostvoorne is a 5-minute bike ride. By car you can reach the A15 (freeway) or Brielle within 10 minutes. Within 30 minutes you reach Rotterdam. Tennis courts, shops, beautiful nature (hiking / cycling) and the beach (highly suitable for kite surfing) are around the corner. The house is located halfway the curved Zeedistellaan. This street (and neighborhood) is characterized by the green strips lying on either side of the road and the plots. Because fences are not allowed, this green strip passes seamlessly into the front yard. At the back, the plot is bordered by the Berkenrijspad. Gardens, heges and trees take care of enough privacy.

GROUND FLOOR
A space hall (20m2) forms the entrance halfway north of the house. This offers a view of the patio (23m2) located behind it. A niche on the right gives access to the toilet and a wardrobe. On the left you go to the luxurious living kitchen (28m2) and a working room (18,5m2). The kitchen consists of a generous cooking island with natural stone leaf and a lockable pantry / appliance wall. Grill plate, ceramic hob and integrated extractor are from Gaggenau. In the cabinet wall is an Imperial steam oven and Siemens Combimagnetron. On the right side of the hall is the living room (59m2). It consists of a spacious seating area and an intimate part which is suitable for television viewing. In between there is a rotable fireplace. Different ceiling heights also provide different zones. The living room is mainly oriented on the backyard. From the living room and the kitchen, the patio can be reached by sliding doors.

FIRST FLOOR
Through a steel staircase in the hall you go to the first floor. On the left (front of the house) is the "children's area": 4 bedrooms (three times 10,5m2 and once 15,5m2), a bathroom (with toilet, washbasin and walk-in shower) and a room for washing machine, dryer, boiler and heat exchanger. In the back wing is the "parent area" with the master bedroom (18m2) which has an open connection with the walk-in closet, the bathroom and a yoga room. The bathroom is furnished with mosaic wall and floor tiles, walk-in rain shower, bath
(Villeroy & Boch), toilet and washbasin.

Behind the house is a one-storey annexe which is equipped with sauna, jacuzzi, massage shower and toilet. Equipped with own electrical group, boiler and boiler vessel (120l)

The front yard goes seamlessly into the green strip of the municipality that runs along the road. Plants, Trees and Bushes provide adequate privacy. On the right is a path along the house to the main entrance and the backyard. On the right side of the house is a lawn with two half-high walls that gives the garden structure. The 320m2 backyard is attractively furnished and is fully connected to the living room through the sliding doors.

A WORD FROM THE ARCHITECT:

I designed this house for my family in 2000. I fell for the location, so close to the dunes, in a beautiful setting with wooded lanes and only 30 minutes drive to my office in Rotterdam. Beautiful old trees in the backyard, 50 year old hedges along the edges, the street so quiet that the children could play here safely; ideal.
On the street side I kept the house more understated, with dark brickwork. It does not have to be overlooked. But on the garden side it is light and exuberant. A party of glass and wood.
The ground floor is actually a large open space, but can be divided into large dining doors. Lots of glass, lots of sight lines. You can see the children play everywhere, without having to hear them.
Because I was so found of the green, I have the outside overfloated with the inside. The patio, lots of sliding doors, large glass areas, spacious vides: you have the atmosphere of forest and dune everywhere in your house. That's why you are also outside. Children playing in the garden, sitting in the patio. Also ideal for bubbles and birthdays. On the first floor I made a front side for the children, and a backside for the parents. Both connected by an air bridge, makes it quiet.
In total, a lovely, open, family house in a beautiful place.
