A highly notable feature of this property is its artesian well, which is a product of the plugging of the #6 mine tunnel in the 1930’s. The well produces over 600 gpm of high quality water. The flow has been consistent over the decades, despite drought, due to the storage of water contained in miles of old tunnels. Though the sellers make no warranty to any water beyond the boundaries of the property, the well produces ground water, not spring water, and thus may give the owners valuable water rights[iii].
