"SAYING GOODBYE TO OUR LAKEFRONT HOME AT LAKE TAHOE
At the end of the 40’s, my husband Leo and I made our first trip to Lake Tahoe. It was love at first sight! After that first trip, we spent our vacations at Tahoe almost every year. Finally, in 1981, 30 years after our first trip, we were able to build our lakefront home in Carnelian Bay. My husband was an engineer and worked on the plans for over two years. We then hired a building contractor, who was also an engineer, to build our house. The two men, along with a licensed architect, put their skills together to build a beautiful, strong, well constructed.4000 square foot house on the shores of Lake Tahoe. The house has 6 bedrooms, 4 1/2 bathrooms, a dramatic high-ceiling living room, two large lakefront decks, and a 100 foot private pier. Large windows were strategically placed in every possible location to take advantage of one of the most spectacular views in all of Lake Tahoe.
So now, in 2016, the time has come for us to say good-by to our home. My husband died 3 years ago, and time has come to put our beautiful and comfortable home into new and loving hands. I wish there was a way to give this home a huge and loving hug and a heartfelt thank you for all the joy you gave to me, my husband and my family.
May good health and much family happiness come to the new owners.
