Pelion is one of the most famous regions in Greece; it is the mountain of the mythical centaurs and the summer residence of the 12 Gods of ancient Greek mythology. The Pelion Peninsula is located in the north of Greece, only 10 kms from the city of Volos, about 320 kms north of Athens and some 215 kms south of Thessaloniki.
