“I take care of my clients’ needs and put them before my own, because the relationship is much more important than making a sale.”
‘Relationship’ is a word heard over and over again when speaking with Sue Gurley, who says that building a solid relationship with each and every client is the most important part of her job. “It’s absolutely key to earning, keeping and most importantly, deserving, people’s trust.”
Described by her peers as positive, patient, honest and attentive, Sue has been part of the Russ Lyon team for nearly 20 years. It’s a place that feels very natural to this highly experienced real estate expert. “The professionalism, integrity and warm atmosphere at Russ Lyon fits perfectly with my personality, lifestyle and philosophies. The support that I receive as an agent lets me focus on using my knowledge and experience in building, buying and selling homes to find a home that is a perfect match for my clients.”
Sue, who has two adult children and three grandchildren, has been married for 45 years to her high school sweetheart, Bob. After graduating from San Jose State University, she and Bob lived and raised their young family in a small community in the Santa Cruz Mountains of California, where Sue taught special education and fourth, fifth and sixth grades for nearly two decades.
“In 1991, we moved to Arizona so Bob could start a custom homebuilding company; my job was to sell his homes. He quickly became very successful and began building mostly build-to-suit homes, leaving me with no spec homes to sell,” recalls Sue with a smile. “So that’s when I decided to expand my business to include working with buyers and resale homes.”
Committed to continuing education as well as to her clients, Sue has earned her California Lifetime Teaching Credential along with the professional designations of GRI, Graduate Realtor® Institute, and CRS, Certified Residential Specialist, which is the highest designation awarded to real estate sales associates in the residential sales field.
