After moving to Maui at 18 with a mountain bike and about $400 in her back pack, Alana Rucynski has established herself as a driven community leader and an innovative entrepreneur. From 2003 to 2008 Alana owned two busy retail stores in Kihei, which enabled her to build relationships throughout the area. When business began to wane, Alana focused full-time on real estate. Her energy and enthusiasm allowed for significant success even in the challenging market of recent years. “I Specialize in YOU.” This is Alana’s guiding principal in supporting people through the unpredictable world of real estate. Each relationship is different. Whether they are buying or selling a house, investing in a vacation property, or finding a dream home on Maui, each client brings a unique perspective and lifestyle. Alana helps her clients find their own best solutions. A South Maui resident since 1992, Alana is active with the South Maui community including, Run for Hope and Basketball Maui. The quintessential “soccer mom,” Alana supported her two sons’ numerous activities by serving as Regional Commissioner of South Maui AYSO and on the board of directors of South Maui Sharks Swim Team. Alana challenges herself athletically, as well. She has completed many island hikes, once through Haleakala Crater toting her six-month-old son in a back pack and has competed in the 40-mile Molokai to Oahu Outrigger Canoe Championships several times. Alana and her husband Tim live in Kihei with their two sons, Tristan and Tanek.
