Born and raised in Kansas and the youngest of five, Angela has always cherished the importance of family and “home.” It wasn’t until she bought, renovated and sold her first home in Massachusetts for a profit that she realized her true calling and fell in love with real estate. After moving from Massachusetts to Florida, and going through two additional transactions, Angela got serious about a career in real estate.

But real estate is about so much more than simply finding the perfect home – it’s about the friendships and connections made there, which is something Angela feels especially passionate about.

Prior to real estate, she ran a private catering company, using her culinary degree and event planning experience to bring people together for intimate dinner parties, oftentimes hosting the events in her own home.

After moving to Boulder in 2009 amidst a tumultuous market, Angela studied all there was to know about the unique Boulder market and quickly rose to prominence at 8z where she became one of the first partners at the company.Angela’s services span across Boulder County and into the Foothills, and she is now one of the country’s top-rated agents and a lead coach for new REALTORS at 8z.

We reached out to Angela in early January 2022 to discuss selling our Boulder home of 20+ years. She was extremely helpful in describing what the ensuing process would look like, and began providing expert advice on how we could maximize the sale. This advice included highly insightful information about the current (and changing) Boulder real estate market; potential best timing for listing the property in light of market conditions as well as historical seasonal supply and demand considerations; viewing comps and visiting similar properties to assist in setting a reasonable asking price; and touring our property with us and ultimately providing a list of suggested improvements that could be made to improve salability and maximize price (the list also included prioritization and discussion of cost-benefit of each improvement). Angela recommended her husband’s company, Mendly, to oversee and manage the improvements that included major updates to the kitchen, fixing all kinds of little (and not so little!) problems that had been neglected over the years, and fresh coats of paint throughout the house. Mendly (and Ben Moss) deserve their own superlative review, but suffice it to say here, if Mendly is available to do needed work for you, don’t even think twice about it! They are awesome. Angela also recommended a professional stager to help prepare the home for showing. Although we were somewhat dubious, we trusted her advice, and were so glad we did. The stager used a mix of our furnishings and furnishings they brought in to turn our home into something we wished we had done years before—it looked and felt so comfortable and inviting. Once everything was ready to show, Angela brought in a professional photographer, and worked with the expert 8Z team to prepare the marketing brochure and listing documents. In sum, Angela worked with us on developing a thoughtful strategy for approaching the sale of our home, and then executed that strategy exquisitely. In our case, we opened the home for viewings on a Thursday, and Angela accepted offers by 5pm that Sunday. We received a number of bids—all over the asking price—after which Angela then expertly navigated the negotiation process to get us to a final, accepted offer followed by the closing. There is absolutely no doubt that we would not have been nearly as successful were it not for all of the expert (and patient!) guidance from Angela.

Angela is awesome! Was time to sell the home I bought in 2009 and lived in and rented out since that time. Loved that place! Last tenant moved out at the end of July. Angela was there the day after to advise on getting it ready to sell. Lots of cosmetic upgrades (paint and outside entry/garage doors) were made over the next month with her advice. Together we gauged a selling price that would move the house knowing the market was tightening. House went on the market over Labor Day weekend and showings were heavy the first week.
