John Burchmore

Having lived in the mountain resort community of Aspen, CO for ten years, John moved to Telluride in 1997, preferring the remote location and staggering scenic beauty. With a background in resort sales, marketing and development, John began his career in Telluride. His experience in Mountain Village is extensive. John has served on the Design Review Board (DRB), served on the Mountain Village Town Council, was President of the Convention Visitor Bureau as well as Chairman of the Regional Telluride Marketing Committee. John graduated from Ripon College in Wisconsin with a degree in Economics and began his Real Estate career in Chicago, IL when he went to work with a leading commercial real estate corporation, Fuller Commercial Brokerage. From there he moved to the first of many resort destinations, working for DSI Resort Properties of Traverse City, MI. From managing the World Cup Opening Ceremonies in Aspen, to climbing and skiing Mt. Aconcagua in Argentina and Mt. Elbrus in Russia, John's experiences in the Mountains are dynamic and diverse. He lives on the mesa in Telluride Pines with wife Jill and sons Leland (11) and Jake (13).
