A native Utahn born and raised in Moab, Becky Byrd-Wells is a third-generation real estate professional serving the southeastern region of Utah. Becky grew up on a small family ranch alongside three siblings and was instilled with a strong work ethic from a young age; she stayed busy playing multiple sports during the school year and worked three jobs during her summer vacations to stay busy.

Becky attended Utah State University in Moab prior to entering the real estate industry, which was a natural choice given her family’s involvement in developments and new-build construction. Becky received her real estate license in 2008 as her parents were in the process of subdividing the family farm in preparation for retirement and right as the real estate market crashed. Undeterred, Becky spent several years juggling her growing real estate career alongside supplemental jobs in restaurant management and construction bookkeeping.

Eventually, her hard work paid off; business grew and in 2015 she was able to open her own brokerage, Byrd & Co., acting as Principal Broker. Honoring her family history, Becky named her brokerage after her grandfather’s real estate company which had operated in the Moab area during the 1950’s and 60’s. She was joined in this endeavor by two of Moab’s top real estate professionals, and the three of them led the local market for years as they gradually expanded their team, reach and offerings. Under Becky’s leadership, Byrd & Co. grew from a small start-up brokerage to the highest grossing brokerage in Moab within their first three years in business.

In January of 2022, Byrd & Co. joined forces with Summit Sotheby’s International Realty – a luxury brokerage serving the entire Beehive State – in order to be supported by the global power of the Sotheby’s International Realty name and brand. Becky and her team were drawn to the in-house support staff and professional teams specializing in marketing, photography and videography, transaction management, operations, legal and more. Becky was immediately impressed by the skills and knowledge of the staff, which allowed her team to better serve their own clients.

Becky prides herself in responsive, timely, and honest customer service; her deep market knowledge and years of experience have proven vital to the success of her business. She loves new construction projects, having designed and built about 25 houses with her family, and enjoys interior design and architecture which sparks her creative side. Becky is well-versed in the vacation rental market as she has owned and operated eight of her own units since 2012. Becky is also skilled in articulating to her clients on what to expect and the best ways to market their properties, whether they are for sale or rent. Becky also has ample experience selling commercial properties.

As a real estate professional, Becky works hard and takes pride in what she does. When she’s not selling real estate, she relaxes with her family spending time outside golfing, camping, hiking, biking and paddle boarding. She’s passionate about her children, traveling and giving back to her community; she volunteered for a full-term on the Moab City Planning Commission to improve housing for locals and better her local community. Today Becky lives in Moab with her three daughters and her loving husband, a fellow Utah REALTOR®.
