Shawn Salemi

Shawn Salemi was born in France. He enjoys the multicultural vibe of New York City and has lived here more than 20 years. He has lived from the East to West Village, Park Slope to Bushwick, the Upper West Side and Harlem.
Shawn is second generation not only to the business of real estate, but also to Sotheby’s International Realty. Having grown up around the industry, he brings a unique perspective to the table not only as an insider, but gets to draw upon his diverse successful professional background as a model, a film actor, and a teacher of Olympic style Tae Kwon Do.
“As a child growing up in Paris, I always wanted to live in New York City. Now it is my turn to assist all those who share in this dream,” says Shawn. “Having been through the relocation process myself, I know firsthand the emotional turbulence and logistical challenges that renters and buyers face.”
Shawn is a dual citizen of France and the US. He has two passports and an education from Brooklyn College. “At Sotheby’s, ‘International’ is literally our middle name. This brand was a natural fit, given that I still have a foot on two continents,” continues Shawn. His clients are the beneficiaries of both his global perspective and local expertise.
Shawn enjoys reading, meditating and spending time with his family in New York, Guam and France. He is bi-lingual in English and French.
