Patricia Petersen is a recognized expert in the world of residential real estate sales and marketing. Under her leadership, Daniel Gale has grown to become the largest non-franchised, independent broker on Long Island. Today, as Daniel Gale President and CEO, she directs a $2 billion organization that encompasses corporate headquarters in Huntington, sales offices spanning the North shore of Long Island, an award-winning Relocation Center, a Land and New Homes Division and an affiliation with Wells Fargo Mortgage. Following a successful career with a major New York public relations firm, Pat brought her talents and energy to the marketing of residential real estate, joining Daniel Gale in 1974 as a sales associate. She went on to manage the Daniel Gale Cold Spring Harbor office and was appointed Relocation Director and General Manager in 1983. She was named Vice President and General Manager in 1985 and President and CEO in 1991.
A frequent lecturer and national spokesperson for the industry, Pat Petersen serves on the advisory boards of several national and international professional organizations, including Sotheby's International Realty and The Brain Trust (an international organization of leading women real estate broker/owners). She is a member of The Registry - a national affiliation of luxury real estate brokers; Leading Estates of the World; F.I.A.B.C.I., International Real Estate Federation; Who's Who in Luxury Real Estate Board of Regents; Women's Real Estate Council; the Long Island Board of Realtors; and the National Association of Realtors.
Active in the community, Pat serves on the executive committee as well as the advisory board of the DNA Learning Center, Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory. She serves on the board of Friends for Long Island's Heritage and is a member of the National Trust for Historic Preservation. Through Pat's leadership, Daniel Gale real estate associates contribute to Long Island's cultural and humanitarian needs, both financially and with their time.
Pat is a major donor to the Whaling Museum, the Heckscher Art Museum, the Caumsett Foundation and Huntington Hospital. In addition, she is actively involved in the Dress for Success Organization. Pat served as the Honoree for Huntington Hospital's 2003 Women's Golf Outing Event, spearheading a record-breaking contribution to the Hospital for this annual event. This year, she was the 2004 honoree for the Family Service League's annual golf tournament, again raising an unprecedented amount to further the work of this fine organization.
Among Pat Petersen's most recent honors is her induction into the "Long Island Business News Top 50 Most Influential Women in Business Hall of Fame." The Hall of Fame comprises women who have been named to the publication's annual "Top 50 Women on Long Island" list for three consecutive years. Pat was named a "1999 Woman of Distinction," by Distinction Magazine and she serves on the Advisory Board of Enterprising Women, the magazine for women business owners. This fall, Pat was chosen to exemplify the country's top women-owned real estate brokerage companies and was profiled by Enterprising Women for its recent cover story in the "Billion Dollar Brokers" issue.
