Elizabeth, or Betty as she is known to virtually everyone in Manhasset, reared her family of three daughters, in Munsey Park, Manhasset, where she herself was raised and currently resides.Among her neighbors, Betty is a household name for her activist role in Manhasset's award-winning school system. As a trustee of the Board of Education for nine years, Betty served as the Board of Education's president for two years. Betty co-chaired the annual SCA Fair twice in addition to various other positions that she held in the School Community Association.
