Realtor Mary Cooley Craddock knows that buying or selling a house is a huge decision for most people and loves working with all sorts: the first-time homebuyer, the foreign national purchasing in Houston or “empty nesters” and downsizing clients and provides each with the highest level of service. She has participated in the buying and selling at all price points, from the multi-million dollar homes to a small condo and everything in between. She listens carefully to the needs of her clients and is dedicated to making the process as smooth and successful as possible. She is an effective negotiator always striving to get the best deal for her clients. She and the John Daugherty team make sure that every listing gets top marketing attention. Mary’s success comes from building a relationship of trust and understanding and being attentive to every detail of the real estate transaction.
As a fourth-generation Houstonian, Mary has first-hand knowledge of the city’s most sought-after neighborhoods, including River Oaks, Southampton, Montrose, Briargrove/Tanglewood and The Heights. Her paternal great grandfather was the founder of the Houston Heights. Yet she does not limit herself to inner-Houston areas and will work in most parts of the greater Houston area.
Having raised 6 children, she understands the needs of families for good neighborhoods and schools and is an invaluable resource for many needs of the homebuyer. She now has a relationship with a local bank to provide special financing to doctors, nurses, and most individuals working in medical-related fields.
Mary is a valedictorian graduate of Mirabeau B. Lamar High School, an honors graduate of University of Texas at Austin and holds a masters degree from the Johns Hopkins University. Mary supports the Houston community and has been involved with several charities and organizations, including Communities in Schools, Young Audiences, and Phi Beta Kappa Alumni Scholarship, Trees for Houston and Ronald McDonald House. She mentors at -risk students at Lamar High School where she has joined the alumni board. Mary is a sustaining member of the Junior League of Houston, and active member of the Garden Club of Houston, St. Martin’s Episcopal Church, the Houstonian Club and the Houston Country Club. She is a certified medical illustrator and worked many years freelance for doctors in the Texas Medical Center. When she has time, she still accepts commissions to paint special scenes and portraits of people and pets. Her hobbies include watercolor and oil painting, gardening, and playing tennis, and golf. She is the mother of 6 children and married to Houston ENT doctor John Craddock.
