Rodney Terry’s transition into a real estate career after 10 years working as a pharmacy technician was motivated by profound personal experiences as well as a desire to seek new professional challenges. Rodney spent his younger years living with his grandmother on the west side of Chicago moving from apartment to apartment. When they finally found a house and neighborhood to settle in, he observed the ways that home ownership affects a family’s stability, development, and community engagement—and he believes in working hard to realize the same goals for his clients.
As a pharmacy technician with Walgreen’s, Rodney was nationally recognized for his customer service skills. His store was consistently noted for its top productivity, aided in part by his management, promotion, and retention of the pharmacy kiosks. For two years he also worked in a hospital pharmacy, assisting with trauma, cardiac arrest, and neonatal emergencies. These experiences helped him develop a professional foundation in critical thinking, strategic planning, and making accurate, crucial decisions under pressure.
Rodney currently specializes in residential brokerage, and he conducts his business with clarity, strategy, and a keen sense of execution and measurement. He primarily works with buyers and sellers, but is also willing to discuss the needs of those clients looking into investment. A lifelong Chicagoan, he holds particular expertise in the markets of Streeterville, Bronzeville, South Loop, Morgan Park, Austin, and Lawndale—but as a ride share partner, he has developed additional familiarity with much of the city.
Outside of working in real estate sales, Rodney is a committed mentor to young adults. He is proud to sit on the board of directors at New Life Covenant Southeast Church, and as one of twelve adult leaders in the organization, he offers life strategy to over a hundred young men and women from across the Chicago area each year.
