"The biggest reward of being a Realtor is knowing you helped your clients make the best decision possible for them and their family," says Bill.
When Bill started college at San Jose State, it was clear that he needed to be in some form of communication. He chose advertising with a minor in photo journalism, but when he started his career in real estate in 1979, he learned that his desire to be in some form of "communication" really meant partnering with people.
"Real estate is a 'people' business", he says, and Bill could not have chosen a better career. "I really love partnering with people and helping them make good choices, and I appreciate the value of good architecture with good function."
Bill has become very good friends with many of his clients over the years and has always enjoyed meeting new people. "We all have our strengths, says Bill, and I very much appreciate the variety of personalities I meet through real estate. It is fun to watch the process of elimination that people go through in searching for a house. It requires listening to what they are saying, interpreting what they mean and watching their reactions are when you find them the right house."
After thirty-four years, Bill has learned that it really takes a team of people to truly offer good service seven days a week. His partners are his wife, Darla, and his very special assistant, Nina, who has been with the Whitehead Group since 1999. They are constantly trying to improve how to provide better service.
"It has been our pleasure to over two hundred fifty buyers and sellers over the years." Dozens of these clients are builders in the area and, collectively, Bill has been instrumental from inception to completion of almost one hundred homes and condos built on speculative basis over the years. "Building is still my passion," says Bill. "I see and hear what the buyers want and when I can assist in the design of a house it sells quickly."
If you are looking for a Realtor with a high regard for honesty and integrity and want to find a team that will place your interests first, you should call Bill Whitehead of the Whitehead Group.
