Born in England, Soraya moved to Texas and attended Trinity Valley and Arlington Heights. She continued her education at Texas Christian University graduating with a degree in Political Science. Soraya spent a year in Pakistan and received a B.A. in English and philosophy giving her an understanding of the global perspective. Soraya worked as a writer and editor for The Fort Worth Star-Telegram. She married a childhood friend and embarked on a 10-year adventure while her husband attended medical school and completed residency. "I was raising four young children and wanted to start my own business," she says. Parosi Bags, a diaper bag line, designed, produced and marketed by Soraya, and Soap Loafer, an aromatherapy line also created by her, exemplified her entrepreneurial drive and "can do" spirit. Today, Soraya manages her husband's medical practice, raises four boys and is an active participant in local school and community activities.
