During her legal career that spanned three decades, Lucy Johnson oversaw the purchase and sale of hundreds of properties in the US, Australia, Norway, Ireland, Hong Kong, and Panama. Lucy then conducted due diligence to combine her business expertise and negotiating skills with the international marketing power of Briggs Freeman Sotheby's International Realty for a perfect fit. As a real estate agent, Lucy helps her clients use property purchases and sales as an opportunity to enjoy their homes as a lifestyle backdrop as well as a wise diversification of their portfolios. Lucy believes that home purchase decisions can be not only a right sizing opportunity, but also a chance to transition into a right community and a right season. Serving first home buyers, empty nesters, property investors, and facilitating estate distributions, she brings incomparable negotiating and strategic skills to each transaction. With extensive knowledge of the Dallas housing market, her first seventeen transactions with Briggs Freeman Sotheby"s International Realty involved properties in eight different Dallas zip codes. Graduating from Highland Park High School, Lucy earned a BA in Journalism, an MBA with a marketing concentration from the SMU Cox School of Business, and her JD from the SMU Dedman School of Law. Her career began with a prestigious Dallas law firm, followed by almost ten years as Associate General Counsel for the largest corporation headquartered in Dallas at that time. For over twenty years, she served as Senior Counsel to an NYSE corporation that is consistently listed in the Fortune 200. One of her great joys has been raising five children and seeing each of them find fulfilling careers: a structural engineer, a first grade teacher, a doctor, a lawyer, and a law student. Lucy has been active at her children"s schools and is currently on both the Finance Committee and the Endowment Committee of her church. She served on the Board of Directors of the Junior League of Dallas, Inc. and on the Cattle Baron"s Ball Committee. The SMU Kappa Kappa Gamma House Board creates a continued connection to her alma mater. She is a member of The Dallas Woman"s Club and the State Bar of Texas.
