This newest office, the organization’s 29th, has been in development since the beginning of this year, and is poised to take advantage of the rapid development taking hold in the area. The office is located in the WeWork Building at 35-37 36th Street in Astoria.

“We couldn’t have timed the opening of the office any better if we had advance notice of Amazon’s choice of Long Island City for HQ2,” said Daniel Gale Sotheby’s International Realty Chief Executive Officer Deirdre O’Connell. “We have been closely watching the activity in the neighborhood and its surrounding areas for several years as part of our long-term growth strategy. Among the many resources that we bring to people looking to buy or sell in the area are our highly competent and professional real estate advisors, unparalleled brand recognition, access to the finest homes both locally and through our global network and the technology to help home seekers and sellers feel informed and empowered in their decisions.”

O'Connell continued, “outside of the revolutionizing impact that Amazon HQ2 in Long Island City or a Google expansion in Manhattan will have in terms of the people, goods and services they’ll demand, there is already plenty of movement afoot with many Long Islanders looking at the area for both investment and residential purposes. Current residents of Queens are also looking to move to Long Island. Daniel Gale Sotheby’s International Realty’s team of more than 950 real estate professionals is ideally positioned to help buyers, sellers and renters navigate the unique dynamics and varied neighborhoods of the Metro area and suburban Long Island. Our industry leading Relocation and Referral department is fully staffed with industry professionals to meet the needs of workers transferring to the New York Metro and suburban communities.”

Daniel Gale Sotheby’s International Realty’s Astoria –Long Island City office is under the management of veteran Sales Manager Donna Rubertone. Ms. Rubertone also manages the organization’s Bayside/Flushing office, which opened in 2014.
