ORCHID, FL – On March 6, 2018, Orchid Island Golf & Beach Club was honored to host the induction and gala dinner for the Treasure Coast Bailliage (Chapter) of the Chaîne des Rôtisseurs where six people were inducted and five were elevated to Officers. Susan Vareschi, the regional Bailli Provincial Southeast presided over the ceremony, where those elevated were Orchid Island Executive Chef, Chris Sozio to Culinaire, Orchid Island Members Joe Harding to Vice Chancelier and Carole Finck to Gastronomique, plus new Vice Chargés Donna Miller for Missions and Tim Whybrew for Presse. The Treasure Coast Chapter was initiated last year and currently has 30 members, including people who have transferred from other chapters in the US, Abu Dhabi and Kuwait.
The induction theme for the evening was “Foods inspired from Northern California” and was very nicely paired with California wines. Executive Chef Sozio, along with Alex Heater, Orchid Island Food & Beverage Director and Orchid Island General Manager, Rob Tench, Maître de Table, planned and executed the wonderful dinner which was enjoyed by all. “Tonight’s dinner was completely reflective of the spirit and goal of the Chaine des Rotisseurs,” shared Tom Finck, the Bailli of the local Treasure Coast Chapter, “which is to offer the very best of culinary experiences, while encouraging the camaraderie of the table.”
Membership in the Chaîne is open to the Vero Beach Community by invitation.
