1461012179COLD SPRING HARBOR, NY - Daniel Gale Sotheby’s International Realty, one of the nation’s leading realtors, is playing a significant role in raising funds for the Long Island Council of Save the Children.  Daniel Gale Sotheby’s Deborah Hauser and Abby Sheeline, board members of Save the Children LI Council, are co-chairing its Spring Benefit, “A Night at the Speakeasy,” and Daniel Gale Sotheby’s is supporting their efforts with a sponsorship and a cadre of volunteers.

“A Night at the Speakeasy,” which will take place Saturday, May 14 at the Paramount in Huntington, NY, features music by three popular Long Island bands and invites attendees to dress in 1920s attire as desired.

“The outpouring of support for Save the Children demonstrated by our agents, our administrative managers and staff, and particularly by the efforts of Abby and Deb has been nothing short of amazing,” said President and CEO Patricia J. Petersen. “It’s a winning combination of hard work and dedication, hands-on volunteerism and generous donations of money and raffle prizes.”

Other volunteers include Diane Anderson, Maria Boccard, Tom Calabrese, Katherine Cirelli, Allison Conte, Kate Cronin, Pam Doyle, John Haines, Margy Hargraves, Donna Madden, Deirdre O’Connell, Susan Poli, Margaret Trautmann, Bonnie Williamson and Ellen Zipes.

Save the Children Long Island Council is a volunteer group committed to supporting the work of the national organization, whose mission is to give children in the United States and around the world a healthy start, the opportunity to learn and protection from harm.  For more information on Save the Children and the Spring Benefit, visit www.savethechildrenli.org or call 631-424-0759.
