Peter Niederman of Kentwood Real Estate Recognized as One of the 200 Most Powerful People in Residential Real Estate for 2016

DENVER, CO – Peter Niederman, Chief Executive Officer of Kentwood Real Estate, has been recognized as one of the 200 most powerful people in residential real estate for 2016 by the Swanepoel Power 200 (SP200), an annual list of the most powerful real estate leaders in North America. The SP200 is regarded as the most comprehensive list of influential CEOs, thought leaders and senior executives ever assembled in the residential real estate brokerage business. This is the second consecutive year that Niederman has been recognized in the SP200. He is ranked No. 153 on the 2016 list.
The SP200 list stands as a milestone analysis of the multidisciplinary real estate industry and is released in a 52-page printed version and online at www.sp200.com. The list showcases the drivers in the industry…the ones making the biggest difference. The rankings are based on multiple criteria that include the individual’s personal influence, his/her tenure in the industry, the office he or she holds, and the decision-making power of said office. Other criteria include the financial resources of the company or organization, the company’s contribution to the industry, the company’s geographic reach, and his/her recent activities, growth, and potential.
Niederman purchased Kentwood Real Estate in 2007 and spearheaded the company’s growth to its current status as one of the top producing real estate companies in the country with nearly $2.4 billion in sales volume for 2015. Prior to the Kentwood purchase, Niederman served as the Rocky Mountain Region’s Regional Vice President of Sales for Richmond American Homes, one of the nation’s largest home builders. He also served as Regional Vice President of Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage from 1998 to 2005. Prior to the sale of Moore and Company Realtors in 1998, Niederman was the company’s Chief Operating Officer.
Niederman was born in Chicago and graduated from the University of Arizona with a degree in architecture. He has held several positions with the Denver Board of Realtors, serving as president in 1996 and as a director for six years. Niederman has also been a director of the Colorado Association of Realtors, the National Association of Realtors, Stewart Title Guarantee Company, and the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. He has garnered numerous prestigious awards during his distinguished career recognizing service to the community, the advancement of technology in the real estate industry, corporate innovation, and professional accomplishments.
