PHOENIX, AZ - It’s been called Arizona’s most unique and sophisticated design challenge to date. Now after a year of extraordinary craftsmanship designing three, five-story Chateaus, Chateau on Central Design Challenge Arizona will reveal one winner.
Hosted by Monson Luxury Group of Russ Lyon Sotheby’s International Realty with special guest judge Luis D. Ortiz of Million Dollar Listing New York, The Reveal will take place on-site at Chateau on Central on Friday, February 26th from 4:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
Located at the corner of Palm Lane & Central Avenue, the ticketed evening begins with a tour of all three Chateaus, then a huge celebration to follow with complimentary gourmet bites, wine and bubbly, and your vote to crown the winning designer - all benefitting Stars of the Season, Banner Children’s | Cardon Children’s Medical Center. Designers competing in the year-long challenge include Robert Burg of Robert Burg Design, Charles Glover of Charles Glover Interiors and Beth McGehee of SB Design Studio.
The judges are Luxury REALTOR and Chateau listing agent Monica Monson, Fashion, Design and Interior Architecture Expert Oscar de las Salas, Luxury Fashion & Design Guru Kelly Persellin and Celebrity Guest Judge Luis D. Ortiz of Million Dollar Listing New York.

During the year-long design challenge, that began in February of 2014, the three selected designers - Burg, Glover and McGehee - were each given a budget and one Chateau to design from the shell to completed stage. Each designer was responsible for designing five levels of their respective Chateau from floor to ceiling. The luxurious Chateaus, which each come equipped with an in-home elevator, range in size from 5,200-square-feet to 5,700-square-feet and are currently listed by Monica Monson of Monson Luxury Group at Russ Lyon Sotheby’s International Realty.
“The time, work and level of creativity and craftsmanship that has gone into these three Chateaus is truly a design marvel,” said Monson. “Beth, Robert and Charles have taken this design challenge to a level we never could have imagined and all produced living spaces that are unique, forward thinking and really cutting-edge in the world of design. We are so excited for the Valley to see what Midtown, urban living can look like in the Chateau of your dreams.”
The judges in addition to those in attendance on Friday, February 26th will have an opportunity to vote for his or her favorite Chateau. The designers will be will judged in several categories including best overall Chateau and best kitchen.
The winning designer will be awarded four round trip tickets to New York City, including a three night stay in luxurious accommodations, $10,000 Rolex watch from Coffin and Trout, 2-page spread in Luxe Interior and Design Magazine, a feature in Luxury Home Magazine and many other prizes, not to mention the title of Top Designer for the Chateau on Central |Design Challenge Arizona.
