SEATTLE, WA USA - Luxury Real Estate's Senior Director of Interactive Media, Michael Edlund, attended Luxury Connect, Inman News’ private one-day event on Thursday, October 23rd. The focus of the event was to discuss the future of luxury real estate with an emphasis on how technology, new business models and innovative strategies are changing the luxury real estate market.
Several presentations were made by Who's Who in Luxury Real Estate members including Mauricio Umansky of The Agency, Joyce Rey of Coldwell Banker Previews International, Sally Forster Jones of the Sally Forster Jones Group, Olivia Decker of Decker Bullock Sotheby's, Maxine Gellens of The Gellens Team, John Aaroe of the John Aaroe Group, Laura Brady of Concierge Auctions and Mark McLaughlin of Pacific Union International. In addition to the presenters, there were also several Luxury Real Estate members in attendance from Chase International, Chinowth & Cohen Realtors, ERA and more.
“The concept of luxury is always evolving”, Michael Edlund comments. “Some things that were considered luxury before have become the norm thanks to companies like for example, Uber, that have changed consumer expectations. It’s nice to attend other conferences than those arranged by us at LuxuryRealEstate.com to get a complementary take on the luxury market and how it’s changing, and it’s very fitting that it’s hosted at one of the most spectacular luxury properties in the country."
The event took place at the legendary Beverly House in Beverly Hills, CA, which was built by William Randolph Hearst, where movies such as The Godfather was later filmed and where JFK and Jackie Kennedy hid from media during their honeymoon. Prior to Luxury Connect, Michael Edlund visited the offices of Luxury Real Estate members, Rodeo Realty and The Agency, and was given a tour of their fantastic facilities.
