DENVER, CO – In just three and a half years, Fuller Sotheby’s International Realty broker Scott Bernard helped grow the InterNations.org group in Denver – a community that connects like-minded expatriates in over 390 cities worldwide - from zero to 1,800 members. Bernard reached out to the world’s largest expat community after relocating to Denver in 2010, having moved from Florida after living in Singapore and Munich.
“I wanted to reconnect with international people after living abroad,” says Bernard. “The power of world-of-mouth and the internet has helped to expand the group tremendously over the past few years.”
Today, Bernard serves as Co-Ambassador for the Denver branch along with Markus Thamm, a German, living and working in the US for over 13 years. A monthly networking social is organized on the third Thursday of each month to help new expats learn about Denver.
“Each month we organize a gathering at a different restaurant or bar in various areas throughout Denver. There is no formal agenda. It is simply a way to meet and connect with people from all over the world. Most of our gatherings have well over 20 different nationalities represented,” explains Bernard.
