1387484894SUNRISE, FL – Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices, the new real estate brokerage network operated by HSF Affiliates LLC, today announced that Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Florida Realty has broadened its reach in Orlando with acquisition of Windermere-based Main Street Realty International. The transaction adds an office, more than 60 sales professionals and employees plus leasing, financing and title-services operations. Terms were not disclosed.

The transaction represents the next step in Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Florida Realty’s ongoing growth strategy following last month’s acquisition of Elite Preferred Realty. It fortifies the brokerage’s presence in Orlando’s percolating high-end and resort markets.

“Main Street Realty International is well-respected throughout Central Florida and is known particularly for its leadership in Orlando’s luxury markets,” said Rei Mesa, president and CEO of Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Florida Realty. “The firm’s high average selling price and loyal client base speak for skill and service of this fine team.”

Main Street Realty International President Judy Black, who founded the company in 1985, said Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Florida Realty and the new Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices real estate network are ideal matches for her company. “We are proud to join forces with Rei and the Florida Realty team,” she explained. “As important, we are excited to join the Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices brand, which is certain to resonate loud and clear in the luxury Windermere market and bring a powerful new synergy to our sales team.”

Added Jason Black, vice president of Main Street Realty International: “Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Florida Realty is providing us with an extraordinary boost of energy and credibility at a crucial time as the real estate industry is climbing out of the housing recession. We look forward to a new era of growth with our new ownership.”

Judy Black will continue at the office as one of its top-producing sales professionals. Jason Black will also continue in a consultant role focusing on expanding title operations in Orlando.
