COLD SPRING HARBOR, NY – Patricia J. Petersen, President and CEO of Daniel Gale Sotheby’s International Realty (DGSIR), one of the nation’s leading realtors, was among a select group of top executives honored as an Outstanding CEO by Long Island’s top business weekly, Long Island Business News. Under Ms. Petersen’s leadership of more than two decades, Daniel Gale Sotheby’s has grown significantly despite momentous change in the real estate industry.
Following a successful career with a major New York public relations firm, Pat joined Daniel Gale in 1974 and became a top-producing agent. She was named Vice President and General Manager in 1985 and President and CEO in 1991.
Innovative in its market sector, Daniel Gale Sotheby’s has readily responded to both the fluctuations of the market and the rapid evolution of traditional real estate marketing strategies. Extensive social media and technology training for agents includes using tablets for marketing applications, sales presentations and other innovative uses. Pat introduced the highly regarded and results-driven Business Development Program, headed by a team of experienced, high earning agents who provide extensive mentoring and ongoing coaching for both new and experienced agents. Participants have overall increased their earnings by an average of 35%. In 2012, 69 participating agents closed $181 million. DGSIR’s ongoing training programs for managers and sales professionals are widely recognized as among the best in the industry.
Daniel Gale Sotheby’s affiliation with Sotheby’s International Realty gives it a global reach unlike any other Long Island-based real estate organization. The Sotheby’s International Realty network provides global marketing, advertising and referral services that attract well-qualified buyers to the firm’s property listings and currently has more than 12,600 sales associates located in approximately 650 offices in 45 countries and territories.
A frequent lecturer and national spokesperson, Pat serves on the advisory boards of national and international professional organizations including the Sotheby’s International Realty Affiliate network.
