HOUSTON, TX- The second annual “Targets for Tourettes” chaired by Keith and Jyl Calcote was a true Texas-Sized success at The Greater Houston Gun Club. Special thanks went to the overwhelming generosity of The”T4T” Posse (A.K.A. planning committee) and the continued support of their super sponsors, including John Daugherty, Realtors. Tess Chaney Relocation Director for John Daugherty, Realtors headed up our team that placed in a very respectfully sixth place.
Congratulations went out to Northern Trust, the winning team for the second year running (Butch Mach, Harry Mach, Jeff Early and Mike Russell) and T4T’s top shot and “I.W. Marksman” award went to Geoff Griffith.
Tourette Syndrome Association programs like “du Balon Rouge” kid’s camp and other essential programs that assist TSA families and kids will get the funding needed to be successful. The 2013 “T4T” tournament and dinner grossed more than $145,000.
Tourette’s syndrome (TS) is a chronic neurobehavioral movement disorder that begins in childhood. Those affected make motor movements and vocalizations they cannot control. Additionally, many are plagued by Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, and other issues. Today’s estimates indicate 1 in every 100 school age boys and 1 in every 300-400 school age girls may have TS. In spite of its high incidence, TS continues to be greatly misdiagnosed and misunderstood.
