Posted by Joan Brothers — December 3, 2006

Manhattan Global Properties, part of Quinton Properties, in New York City, was pleased to see their recent luxury rental client, Sheika Hiya Al-Khalifa, the newly appointed Head of the General Assembly of the United Nations (UN), in action. Sheika Al-Khalifa successfully started the General Debate of the 61st Session of the UN's General Assembly September 27, 2006 with all world leaders in attendance in New York. Sheika Al-Khalifa is from the Al-Khalifa family and they are active in Bahrain's government. Joan Brothers, who handled the real estate needs of the Sheika, said "It was a pleasure to work with this woman who was just about to assume such a powerful world political position- we found her a spectacular apartment in New York so she could focus her full attention on her UN duties. Not only is she smart but she is also a lovely person. I am sure she will make her mark on world politics."
