Surterre Properties’® recent Newport Beach eWaste and document shredding drive, held at Surterre’s headquarters on October 27, did a tremendous amount of good for the environment, collecting approximately 5,928 pounds (over 2 tons) of electronic waste and shredding approximately 5,580 pounds of confidential documents on-site. For this event, Surterre and the Newport Beach community’s commitment to ProShred’s environmentally conscious shredding and recycling service saved 76 trees.
At the four Newport Beach eWaste and document shredding events held this year, a total of 209 trees were saved and approximately 19,815 pounds of confidential documents were shredded on-site.
For all of the community events held this year, 376 trees were saved and 38,695 pounds of confidential documents were shred on-site.
This recent event saw 126 cars come through to drop off waste and documents for recycling.
A free service to the public held on a quarterly basis in different areas of Orange County, Surterre’s eWaste and document shredding drives offer individuals an easy opportunity to keep our planet and its landfills clean.
