At $40 Million, Kahala Lot May Be Record Residential Listing

Posted by Associated Press — June 26, 2006

Forty (m) million dollars could buy you a three-acre beachfront lot in Kahala. Patricia Choi at Choi International is managing the sale. She believes the property is the most expensive recorded listing for a residential lot in Hawaii. The land is a collection of three parcels bought separately over the last three years. Choi is offering the three parcels together for 40 (m) million or as separate properties. She says one person has offered to buy all three parcels but not at the full price. Barham Trust of Beverly Hills, California is listed as the owner in property records. But local luxury real estate agents say media mogul David Geffen had planned to develop the seaside estate. Choi declined to say who controls the Barham Trust.
