Gloria Nilson GMAC Real Estate Offices ‘Paint New Jersey Red’

Posted by Meryl L. Mosack — March 4, 2009

Red Bank N.J., March 4, 2009 – The sales associates of Gloria Nilson GMAC Real Estate recently went red for the day when they participated in National Wear Red Day for Women, sponsored by the American Heart Association, to help bring attention to the number one killer of New Jersey and American females – cardiovascular disease.

Together, real estate professionals in the company’s Holmdel, Middletown, Manalapan/Freehold, Monroe Twp, Princeton, Princeton Junction, Ocean Twp, and Shrewsbury and offices raised money by donating $5 each to wear red for the Go Red for Women movement, a national effort to increase awareness of women’s risk for heart disease and stroke. The offices also held consumer events in February, raising money and offering free blood pressure screenings to all who stopped by.

To honor their efforts, Gloria Nilson GMAC Real Estate President Patricia S. Bell announced the company will match the amount of funds raised for the American Heart Association. Money raised will benefit research and education to help reduce the incidence of cardiovascular disease in women.

Dana D’Agostino-Ryser, branch executive with Gloria Nilson GMAC Real Estate in Holmdel was instrumental in coordinating this important multi-office event. D’Agostino-Ryser and her dedicated sales professionals have been running this and other important fundraisers for many years.

“This is a very important event for us,” said Dana D’Agostino-Ryser. “Not only do we help create awareness of cardiovascular disease to the public, but it is also a gentle reminder to our staff that it is important to take care of yourself and monitor your own health, especially during stressful times,” D’Agostino-Ryser continued.

“Go Red for Women is such a vital effort that we’re delighted to join in,” says Bell. “The generosity of our sales associates and staff will help bring forth positive change in women’s heart health.”
