SEATTLE, WA USA – January 22, 2024 – Who’s Who in Luxury Real Estate (LRE®) recently hosted its 16th Annual Luxury Real Estate International Symposium January 16th through the 18th at the Hôtel Martinez in Cannes, France. The event attracted top luxury real estate professionals, brokers, and management from all over the world to exchange ideas, explore future business opportunities and generate global partnerships.
The International Symposium kicked off Tuesday evening with a Welcome Reception where attendees enjoyed networking over cocktails and hors d’oeuvres at the legendary 5-star hotel, located on the famous Boulevard de La Croisette overlooking the Mediterranean Sea.
The conference program commenced Wednesday with the 2024 Global Networking Award Presentation where LRE® members were recognized for their persistent dedication to the global luxury real estate industry. Featured speaker Robert Levitt, Founder of Levitt Capital Management, shared his expertise on the financial implications of cross border home purchases. This informative session led to group discussions on overcoming the challenges of international transactions. The Wednesday program also featured an insightful dialogue between Philip Weiser, Founder & CEO of Carlton International, and Morgan Carey, CEO of Real Estate Webmasters, on ‘AI and the Real Estate Industry: Its Impact on Buyers, Sellers, and the Real Estate Professionals’. LRE® members discussed how to adapt to a changing landscape and integrate new technology while maintaining consistency and excellence in business practices.
Wednesday afternoon and evening, attendees enjoyed a spectacular property tour hosted by local LRE® member Carlton International, showcasing some of the best luxury real estate on the Côte d'Azur starting at the center of Cannes followed by a drive through the historical village of Mougins. The tour concluded with a private cocktail reception accompanied by champagne and hors d’oeuvres at the “Villa La Mougine”.
The program continued Thursday morning with a look at the changing landscape of luxury real estate and the evolving needs of high-end buyers. Chris Pollinger, Founder of RE Luxe Leaders, spoke on the latest trends in luxury real estate and world events and offered insights on how to stay ahead of the curve. Attendees also heard from Joseph Himali, Best Address® Group, LLC, RLAH @properties, on how to generate leads and close business with social media, including Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube. After a brief networking break, the program continued with a panel discussion on ‘Cultivating a Global Client List’ presented by Olivia Hsu Decker, Golden Gate Sotheby’s Intl. Realty, Michael Levinson, Houlihan Lawrence, Kyri Papoui, Concierge Auctions, Lodovico Pignatti Morano, Italy Sotheby’s Intl. Realty, and moderated by John Stough, Kentucky Select Properties. The conversation explored best practices and personal success stories for building and maintaining an extensive global network of clients. The panel was followed by a lively group discussion on ‘The 2024 Luxury Real Estate Market’ looking at the year ahead and the best practices needed in planning for success.
In the afternoon, attendees enjoyed a private walking tour of Cannes, seeing first-hand how this global city has evolved from a sleepy fishing village to the hub of the infamous Festival de Cannes (Cannes Film Festival).
The International Symposium ended with a closing dinner at Bistro Les Canailles, located on a cobbled alley a few steps from the famous Croisette and Rue d’Antibes, featuring local gourmet French cuisine and wine. Following the International Symposium, the 26th Annual Luxury Real Estate European Ski Trip takes place in Val d’Isère, France from the 19th-28th of January 2024.
