GLENVIEW, IL USA - Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Chicago, in conjunction with its philanthropic arm, the Kindness Foundation, celebrates Community Kindness annually. REALTORS® and staff from the firm’s 22 offices select organizations to support with volunteer time and services in their respective communities. This year, the Glenview office, located at 2630 Valor Drive in The Glen, decided to help Simply From the Heart collect “Glam Box” contents through July 26th. Simply From the Heart pampers cancer patients undergoing treatment in 12 hospitals in three U.S. cities.
Kevin Rynes, Managing Broker of the Glenview office, said “Simply From the Heart does such great work helping people undergoing cancer treatment feel some normalcy. Their “Glam Squads” arrive at the hospital to pamper cancer patients with nail, hair and makeup services. Our Foundation Ambassadors, Vicki Vranas and Dorise Zerang, learned about this amazing organization and brought it to our attention. Our office will help them collect items and donations for their “Glam Boxes” this year. Each patient gets to keep their own “Glam Box”, a box that contains some 30 different beauty products. Our agents are reaching out to their clients, friends and family to see if they can help, but members of the community are able to get in on the fun too. We thank you for your support of this activity.”
Drop off items at the office at 2630 Valor Drive between 9:00 am and 5:00 pm Monday through Friday. Most desired items include: nail polish, nail file, toe separators, nail polish remover wipes, makeup brush/sponge/brush set, eyeshadow, blush, highlighter, mascara, lip color, lip gloss/sheer, hair brush, detangler, dry shampoo, hair accessory, rubber bands, bobby pins and body lotion.
