As a non-competing manager, McCarthy’s role is as a coach and partner to his agents. His management style espouses personal attention, patient guidance, open communication, practical hands-on support and clear goals and expectations.

Before joining Daniel Gale Sotheby’s International Realty, McCarthy was a senior managing director in Manhattan for Town Residential. Over the course of his two-decade career, McCarthy has overseen five different offices in some of New York City’s most sought after neighborhoods, mentored hundreds of sales associates and participated in thousands of real estate transactions.
After two decades in New York City, the Stony Brook native relocated to Oyster Bay Cove with his family. Outside of work, McCarthy enjoys sailing his sloop on the Long Island Sound and family time.
