GiveBack Homes - An Opportunity To Make A Difference

July 17, 2017

I recently came across GiveBack Homes, an organization built for real estate professionals and really anyone in the business of home building, financing, and designing, and knew I had to sign up. It’s refreshing to find a way to contribute and know that 100% of that contribution will go where you intend it to – namely the family you want to support.

The organization works with established charity partners such as Habitat for Humanity, New Story, and Union Rescue Mission to organize home building projects for members to support across the U.S and in countries including, Nicaragua, El Salvador, and Haiti. Members help to build homes through contributions, and by volunteering time at local Build Days in the United States, as well international Build Trips.

WHAT DOES IT COST TO BUILD A HOME?

A little bit of a disparity here. In the United States, it can vary from $100,000 to $250,000. In Haiti and El Salvador, however, it can be accomplished for as little as $6,000! The costs include essential training for housing law and home maintenance for the future homeowner.

Again, the disparity in how long the process of building a home in that what takes six to twelve months in the United States takes a mere two to four weeks in Nicaragua!

THE BIG PICTURE

The goal is to build safe homes and therefore safe communities so that families will thrive. With a population of which almost half live below the poverty line and on $1.00 a day, Nicaragua is especially dear to the heart of the founder of GiveBack Homes.

Each time I sell a home, I can contribute so that people such as Ana do not have to live in these unbelievable conditions while trying to raise a family. Whether buying or selling a property, Contact me for a consultation and join in making the world a better place with GiveBack Homes.
