HOUSTON, TX - John Daugherty, Realtors teamed up with Star of Hope for this year's Lemonade Day to introduces kids to entrepreneurship. This city-wide event encourages kids to start a lemonade stand and sell their May 3rd. This year, the JDR Lemonade Day stand was held at the Lupe Tortilla located at 2414 Southwest Freeway. This is the first year homeless from the Star of Hope had the opportunity to participate in Lemonade Day.
Not only did the children make their own lemonade and decorate the stand, they created their own t-shirts to wear in order to market their product to thirsty consumers better. Plus, they even offered face painting as an added perk to their customers. As a company, John Daugherty, Realtors has been involved with Lemonade Day for many years. In fact, Chairman and CEO John A. Daugherty, Jr., was a on the Lemonade Day board member and now continues his support as on the advisory board. Lemonade Day proceeds from the JDR stand will go to children's programs at Star of Hope.
