Rachel Metzger

Born in the Midwest and raised in Colorado, Rachel Metzger grew up as an avid skier and snowboarder, splitting her time between Denver and Winter Park. Her mother was a financial lender, introducing her to the world of real estate early on. Shadowing her mother, Rachel quickly learned the importance of clear communication and trusted relationships. After receiving her Bachelor’s degree in Marketing from Metro State University of Denver and working in the financial planning industry, Rachel traded the snow-capped mountains of Colorado for the ocean-view mountains of San Luis Obispo, California.

In 2013, Rachel entered the real estate world when she became the assistant for a small California-based brokerage. She obtained her real estate license in 2016, and went on to join Compass in 2019 where she spent the following several years building her growing business while learning the nuances of today’s real estate industry. In 2023, Rachel joined global luxury brand Sotheby’s International Realty after being drawn to their elevated professional services and unmatched reach. Splitting time between the mountains of California and Utah, she holds active real estate licenses in both states, and still runs a team in San Luis Obispo County, CA in addition to working directly with her clients in Utah.

Rachel’s approach to real estate is proactive, consultative and advisory, smoothly guiding her clients through each transaction with detailed organization and results-driven focus—her goal is to ensure her clients feel informed, in control, and advocated for from start-to-finish. Rachel is highly communicative and she prides herself on being able to proactively problem-solve the most complex of issues. Rachel’s clear communication and comprehensive knowledge paired with her pleasant persistence has proven to be a winning combination. Being a transplant to Utah herself gives Rachel a unique perspective, allowing her to better resonate with people relocating to the area—and how to best find the location and home that best fits their unique situation and lifestyle.

Rachel is a devoted mom to her very sweet (and very busy) young son, Nolan, who keeps his parents on their toes. Rachel and her husband Mike love spending time in the mountains, traveling to immerse themselves in other cultures, and managing and enhancing their AirBnB properties together. A goal of theirs for the coming year(s) is to acquire another investment property. When she’s not helping her clients buy and sell real estate, you can find Rachel spending time outside—hiking and trail running with her dog, skiing (and enjoying apres ski), or working on her latest DIY home project. Rachel can’t wait to share her love of Utah and our unmatched mountain lifestyle with you!
