The historic Twist/Gendron Ranch is located in the heart of the Big Smoky Valley snuggled in the beautiful backdrop of the 11,000 feet peaks of the Toyiabe Mountain Range. The South well artesians more than 200 gpm and tested in excess of 2,000 gpm. The newly drilled North well produces in excess of 1200 gpm. Total allocated water rights for the ranch are for 892 acres or 3,575 acre feet. In addition to the grazing pastures, there are two newly added pivots totaling 80 acres which are currently producing 7 tons per acre a year of alfalfa. Other ranch improvements include extensive cross fencing for rotational grazing and multiple stock water tanks fed by underground pipelines. The ranch also supports a large local deer herd which yields a landowners depredation deer tag that has proven to be very lucrative. There are also many other types of wildlife including Ducks, Geese, Sandhill Cranes, Blue Herons, Eagles, Hawks, Quail, Antelope and an occasional Bighorn Sheep.
