Spanish Style Hacienda Estate
This hacienda style estate is truly a one of a kind home sprinkled with designer details throughout. From the moment you reach the entrance of the home you are greeted by an accent wall of intricately hand selected bricks and an oversized beautiful rustic door makes you feel that you have stepped back in time. Once you walk through the front door the open flow of the home immediately draws you in like a warm hug. Your eyes are then refocussed out to the terrace of the home and the ceiling details and light is something you wouldn’t expect. The open floor plan indulges the owners to be able to appreciate the luxury benefits of indoor/outdoor living in style. The formal living room doors slide completely open to the outside terrace that is covered once again in detailed ceilings and lighting fixtures. The views from the interior and exterior living spaces makes you feel like you are out in the countryside or in a remote resort in another country. The beauty of the countryside pool just off of the terrace, the flowering gardens, and groomed trees makes you forget you are literally steps away from the privileged area of the Paco where you can find the best restaurants and shopping. At night you get to enjoy a different type of view from the home, the city lights! Just off in the distance through mature trees there is a glow of sparkling bits of light that make you feel the presence of the city off in the distance. So the views from day to night are ever changing but just as beautiful. The outside part of the home is designed for entertaining. There is a spectacular glass bar/table off of the side of the home that was built for catering parties or events at the house. The thick glass can be lit up at night and has outlets strategically placed in the base incase a blender or electricity is needed when using this area. It makes for great outside entertaining when hosting larger groups.
There is a Spa like heated pool found at the end of the manicured garden. The simplicity of placed natural stone steps to get to the pool make you feel as if you are in a natural body of water. Just off the pool is an outside full bathroom found in the elegant rancho equipped for hanging out when by the pool or entertaining as well. Behind the rancho you can find a substantial bodega/storage which could easily be converted into a studio or additional living space.
The interior of the home is full of ever warming areas of refuge. Starting from the kitchen the cozy breakfast nook makes you imagine yourself cozied up for a hot coffee or tea reading that ever desired book. As for the long counters of granite that extend across the kitchen even the most discerning of chefs would appreciate the lay out. Just off the kitchen is the formal dinning area which is situated within a room full of windows. So daytime dinning actually makes you feel as if you were in the courtyard and nighttime you can enjoy the distant city lights. The wooden beams warm the area and actually accents it in just the right touch. The office that was converted from one of the bedrooms has the floor to ceiling doors that open out to the patio as well. The space the owner has created and remodeled add to the privacy of an open office which is not an easy task to do. This can easily be converted back to its original state of a bedroom. The owner when remodeling saved all original doors to the home so if converted back to a bedroom all original accents would be able to be incorporated once again.
The private cozy den off the office and other bedrooms makes for a great escape to read, watch tv, or just unwind in a more cozy area. This area is great for families so living areas can be separated for the children or adults to have their own areas of casual living. Near the office and den is conveniently located the half guest bathroom.
The bedrooms of the home are found on the end of the home off of the casual den area. All bedrooms have their own baths and views out to the terrace, garden and pool. The master bedroom is an oasis of its own. It is located at the complete end of the home with its own lounge area, beehive fireplace and floor to ceiling sliding glass doors which open completely out to a private terrace with unobstructed views of the garden, pool, and distant city. The master bath has a large rain shower with a full floor to ceiling glass wall that was artistically designed with a foggy like covering for privacy up to a certain point. But from the rest of that glass wall that is not foggy you see the view of a mature forest of green trees. So you feel as if you are actually showering in a natural forest reserve. The master bathroom size is something to be desired as well and leads you directly to the walk in closet.
This magnificent home is something that one can try to describe in words or pictures but it still seems that the essence of this hacienda is better when felt by the true experience of walking through the home and gardens or just even sitting on the terrace listening and observing the ever abundant birds that visit the property.
