Description

A beautiful, detached, modern villa in a unique architectural style. Very spacious with extension at the back and generous garden to the north east (in summer with sun at the back of the house from 1 pm until long after 9 pm). There is space for parking on the property itself. Situated in a spaciously planned neighbourhood with all amenities in the vicinity.

Architect Rien de Ruiter designed this villa in a modern, cubist style with beautiful details and unique floating rooms. In 2008, a back extension was realised with the help of the same architect: all glass, 5.5 m high and with electronically operated skylights.

Constructed in 2003, plot area 614 m², volume 890 m³, living area 248 m², storage space 39 m², roof terrace 13 m².

Ground floor layout:
Entrance with hall, toilet with sink, access to pantry, wardrobe, and storage. A large, glass pivot door provides access to the spacious living room with 5.5 m-high ceiling, and a glass bathroom floating in the open space, including TV area (fitted with a movable system to hide the television from view using a large picture), but especially with incredibly large and high windows that provide a lot of light and still offer sufficient privacy. The ceilings have been lowered and fitted with recessed lighting, the floor is finished with industrial flooring and includes underfloor heating. Almost all windows on the ground floor are fitted with electronic curtain rods that are connected to a home automation system.

The modern, open, and luxurious kitchen from Bulthaup (later fitted with interior drawers in almost all lower cabinets) with large island and breakfast bar is made with aluminium Gaggenau and Miele appliances, including a steam oven and built-in espresso machine.

A large sliding door separates the living room from the conservatory, which offers space for a large dining table and lounge area and provides a nice view of the garden with glass to the floor. A second large sliding door provides access to the terrace. A designer spiral staircase provides access from the conservatory to a floating room that can function as bedroom, but could also be used as a study. It has an electronically operated skylight and a large hatch, operated with gas springs which connects this room to the activities in the conservatory and living room when opened.

First floor:
From the living room, an open steel staircase leads to the originally arranged first floor with a landing, three bedrooms, and a bathroom. All rooms have electronic curtains inside and slatted window blinds on the outside, connected to the home automation system. The playful, floating, glass bathroom has a bathtub, toilet, corner shower, and sink.

Second floor:
Fixed open staircase to the landing with the utilities room to the left, which houses the central heating system and connections for washing machines. A bedroom with en suite, currently in use as a kid's room, has a sliding door which provides access to the pleasant patio roof terrace with hardwood deck, Western Red Cedar wall covering, and modern, glass fall protection.

The spacious master bedroom with walk-in closet has an en suite bathroom with toilet, walk-in shower with a view of the roof terrace, and a freestanding bathtub beside a sliding door to the patio where you can enjoy a bath in privacy, while also being in the outside air. There are electronically operated skylights above the bed and bathroom.

Garden:
The garden is architecturally designed with a spacious lawn, 19 London planes, some fruit trees, hedges, and 'basalt split' gravel and is designed to be low maintenance. At the back of the garden, there is a storage shed and a fun tree house on poles. The stylish terrace by the conservatory rests on foundation, is made of thick, hardwood boards, and is very well-suited for parties. The front garden has a beautiful water mirror (shallow pond). There is spacious storage on both sides of the residence, one of which has a long cabinet wall.
