Madrid, Spain

Description

John Taylor is pleased to present a beautiful 145 m apartment on the first floor of a beautiful classic building (without elevator) in the famous Malasaa neighbourhood.

Located in the quiet Juan de Dios street and with two balconies to the outside, it enjoys a large living room with attached dining room of cheerful, luminous and very quiet atmosphere.

It has a separate kitchen with a modern design and fully equipped and two bedrooms, the master with its bathroom en suite and the secondary with a bathroom nearby that also serves as guest toilet.

Perfect to enjoy Malasaa, one of the fashionable neighborhoods of the capital, but without renouncing the tranquility and style of a modern apartment.

Location description:

The well-known area of Malasaa, located between Chueca and Argelles, was the centre of the so-called "movida" in Madrid in the 1970s and 1980s. The flavor of the neighborhood gives off an enviable Madrilenian style in which the modern and the antique are intertwined. Few neighborhoods still enjoy this typical atmosphere, where everyone is admitted without discrimination, without ghettos or elites. In the center of the neighborhood is the Plaza del Dos de Mayo. An area comparable to London's Camden Town, New York's East Village, Kreuzberg in Berlin or Lisbon's Barrio Alto. Walking through the neighborhood is a delight for the senses and highly recommended because there are hardly any vehicles in many of its streets, since although they are not pedestrian, access to them is so difficult sometimes that cars do not enter if not strictly necessary. It is a fundamentally young area, full of the most innovative venues and with much presence of the latest cultural trends. Shops of young designers, cafes and clubs with unique style and good music open until late hours, small restaurants with cheap menus and good quality. The Cuartel de Conde Duque is one of its most relevant buildings. In the area closest to Plaza de Espaa you can find small restaurants with exotic oriental food. The cozy Plaza de las Comendadoras is the nucleus of the area where you can have a beer or a coffee on the summer terraces.
