Genova, Italy

Garden, Pool.

This charming villa in the heart of Genoas Albaro district is surrounded by peaceful greenery and is just few minutes away from the sea. Albaro, considered the most elegant and exclusive quarter in the city, was established during the eighteenth century when many important Genoese families settled there commissioning beautiful villas and apartments which are now considered architectural points of interest. With all the advantages of a modern city, Genoa is a vibrant artistic and cultural hub and is conveniently located just 20 minutes from Portofino, the most glamorous locale of the Riviera.

The villa measures 200 square meters and in addition has a large cellar. It is surrounded by a large garden with a swimming pool. Privacy is absolute thanks to the large trees which shelter the garden. The property is accessed via a private driveway and there is also a large parking area. The villa is split on two levels and in addition has an attractive attic room. The property is comprised of a living room, four bedrooms, a kitchen, two bathrooms, a utility room and a hallway.

The city of Genoa, also known as La Superba, is historically one of the most important ancient cities in Italy. In the XVII century the city was competing for control of the sea trades with Venice, La Serenissima It subsequently became one of the richest cities in Italy at that time which is evident today in its architectural treasures and important works of art. As part of the evocative Italian Riviera to which it belongs, Genoa is positioned within easy reach of Santa Margherita, Portofino and Rapallo.
Genoa is home to a historical prestigious Yatch Club and has a highly regarded grand opera theatre with a lively production schedule. It also houses many theatres, in fact the most numerous in any one city in Italy. There are also many annual cultural events such as The Art and Sculpture Exhibition set in the 17th-century Palazzo dei Dogi (Doge Palace), The International Genoa Science Festival, the International Genoa Poetry Festival, Genoa International Boat Show (Salone nautico internazionale), and The International Flower Show. The Palazzo Reale and Palazzo Rosso museums hold one of the largest Flemish art collections in Italy and the citys remarkable maritime tradition includes the name of Christopher Colombus who was born here. Famous for its cuisine; fish specialties, pesto, focaccia and pansotti pasta with walnuts sauce, the city never ceases to delight. Nice (Cte dAzur) and the most exclusive ski resorts in Monte Bianco, Courmayeur and Chamonix, are just two hours away and Milan just an hour and a half.
