The Torricella is an ancient stone farmhouse developed at different times around a medieval tower, recently restored with great care. It is located inside the new park of Travalle - a protected area of woods and farmland framed by the hills of Calvana and the river Marina from which the Romans drew water for one of the first aqueducts of Florence. Travalle was the place where from the Renaissance onwards the Florentine Patricians stayed in the summer, and it has remained almost as it was in the sixteenth century: a small farming community that allows you to immerse yourself in traditional country life although at half an hour From the city. The villa is in fact already represented in the sixteenth century maps of the city of Florence. The Torricella is located at the foot of the Poggio Dell'Uccellaia (included in the property), entirely covered by a dense forest of cypress trees that guarantees silence and privacy. On the other side the villa is oriented towards the medieval village and castle of Calenzano Alto. About ten hectares of farmland surround it, isolating it from other properties. All the external walls are made of Alberese, the local stone, while the roof uses the traditional terracotta tiles. All the internal floors are in terracotta of Impruneta. Le Torricella est une ancienne ferme en pierre développée à différentes époques autour d'une tour médiévale, récemment restaurée avec beaucoup de soin. Elle est située à l'intérieur du nouveau parc de Travalle - une zone protégée de bois et de terres agricoles encadrée par les collines de Calvana et du ruisseau Marina d'où les Romains ont puisé l'eau par l'un des premiers aqueducs de Florence. Travalle était l'endroit où, à partir de la Renaissance, les patriciens florentins restaient en été et il est resté presque comme au XVIe siècle: une petite communauté agricole qui vous permet de vous immerger dans la campagne traditionnelle, bien qu'à une demi-heure de la ville. La Villa est en fait déjà représentée dans les cartes du XVIe siècle de la ville de Florence. Le Torricella est située au pied du Poggio Dell'Uccellaia (inclus dans la propriété), entièrement recouvert d'une forêt dense de cyprès qui garantit le silence et la vie privée. De l'autre côté, la Villa est orientée vers le village médiéval et le château de Calenzano Alto. Environ dix hectares de terres agricoles l'entourent, l'isolant d'autres propriétés. Grâce au minimum de développement de la zone et de sa destination actuelle en parc, les propriétés voisines sont pratiquement les mêmes que nous voyons dans les cartes de la Renaissance: la Villa del Pratello à l'Ouest et l'ancien moulin de Valigari à l'est. La Torricella è un’antica casa colonica in pietra sviluppatasi in tempi diversi attorno a una torre medievale, recentemente restaurata con gran cura. La proprietà è di circa 750 mq con 3 ettari c.a di terreni agricoli (con circa 300 piante di ulivo), sono disponibili uletriori 12 ettari c.a di terreno, e 20 ettari c.a di bosco. E’ situata all'interno del nuovo Parco di Travalle – un'area protetta di boschi e terreni agricoli incorniciata dalle colline della Calvana e il torrente Marina dal quale i Romani attinsero l’acqua per uno dei primi acquedotti di Firenze. Travalle era il luogo dove dal Rinascimento in avanti i patrizi fiorentini soggiornavano in estate ed è rimasta seclusa quasi come lo era nel Cinquecento: una piccola comunità agricola che permette di immergersi nella tradizionale vita di campagna sebbene a mezz’ora dalla città. La villa è infatti rappresentata già nelle mappe cinquecentesche della città di Firenze. La Torricella è situata ai piedi del Poggio dell'Uccellaia (incluso nella proprietà), interamente coperto da un folto bosco di cipressi che garantisce silenzio e privacy. Sull’altro lato la villa si orienta verso il villaggio e castello medievale di Calenzano Alto. Una decina di ettari di terreni agricoli la circondano, isolandola da altre proprietà. Grazie al minimo sviluppo della zona e alla sua attuale destinazione a parco, le proprietà limitrofe sono virtualmente le stesse che vediamo nelle mappe rinascimentali: la Villa del Pratello a ovest e l'antico mulino di Valigari a est. Appena oltre il Pratello c’è il villaggio sviluppatosi intorno alla Villa e Fattoria di Travalle – il centro storico e culturale del parco ononimo. L’esposizione a sud e la posizione isolata della villa garantiscono ottima luce anche d’inverno. Tutte le mura esterne sono di alberese, la pietra locale, mentre il tetto utilizza le tradizionali tegole di terracotta. Tutti i pavimenti interni sono in cotto dell'Impruneta.
